So, the press is always quick to point out their views of what a band sounds like and who they feel are artist’s influences. So why don’t you tell me how you describe your sound and what three artists have influenced you the most.
My sound is a weird collision of avant garde, pop and rock. From the very beginning we intended to sound different. Means, different from the music of other people. Growing up with punk music, postpunk and new wav; my heroes were bands like The Clash, Wire, Gang of 4. Also " kraut" bands like Can and Velvet Underground. That against stuff like Talking Heads, B 52`s, later Pixies or The Smiths.

Whether it is from your live show or record, what do you hope folks walk away with after hearing you?
Live shows should create; build up a certain emotional level to trigger, work off angst, anger, and frustration. Songs on record; listen at home I see different. You can hear them to make you think, since the lyrics are often full of double, triple-meanings. Other songs of mine tell stories about life or certain people. Others can be quite simple, beautiful and should make the listener happy.

What movie has inspired you more than any other?
Hard to mention one film. I like movies by Woody Allen, Fellini, Eric Rohmer, Truffaut and loads of others.

Where do you see music in ten years and how do you play a role in that?
I see more downloading worldwide and I like it. There will still be compilations of wonderfully packaged CDs, DVDs, whatever. I like it ‘cause it makes artists independent from record companies and it provides worldwide distribution for every artist.

If you could go back in history to whiteness any event, what would that event be and why?
Although my knowledge about history is considerably good, the past makes me sad and I try to ignore it as good as I can, except the cultural work that has been done; books, music, painting.

What one word sums up the band?
Voodoo club.

Since the World Cup is being held through out Germany, we have to know…who is going to win?
England.

And the last, most important question…Why does Germany love David Hasselhoff?
Do they love him? Was he the Knight Rider or something?
