Slinging slang the English Danish design duo PJUX, street talk for shoes in Swedish, is a relatively new androgynous line of footwear hitting the streets around the world straight from Copenhagen. The luxury line of shoes for both sexes is in its fourth season of molding artisan produced collections from a quaint location in Spain where the dynamic duo send their “Tom’s” to be cut and stitched. The PJUX connoisseur is more likely a part of the growing market dubbed “New Luxury” that’s contrived of people who love to buy top of the line products but tend to gravitate more towards the lines who keep a humanitarian responsibility in their work. For the women’s styles the designers opted for vegetable tanned leather uppers, heels made of beech wood from sustainable forests in Europe, and a long lasting stitch-through construction; and for the men’s they went for uppers made of Chrome free leather, soles and heels made in vegetable tanned leather with rubber on top, and Goodyear welted construction where the upper is stitched through the sole 2 times for very durable and lasting shoes. PJUX is helping flip the coin of luxury brands one pair at a time.
